I'm copying this answer to the mailing list as others may have the same
question.
Bluehost, our web hosting provider, does support SSI. For more detail, see:
http://helpdesk.bluehost.com/index.php/kb/article/000257
Note that at present, these are only resolved for files that end with
.shtml, but I can readily enable SSIs for other files, such as .htm and
.html, if anyone would like me to do that.
