I am happy to announce that Eastside Cemetery is now on-line and Keithly
Creek Cemetery will follow in a day or two. These cemeteries are in
Midvale, ID. These two cemeteries are a gold mine of information on those
who lived in the 'middle valley' of Washington County at the turn of the
century and before. They are more than cemetery recordings but really
family histories.

Eastside and Keithly Creek Cemeterys were difficult to type up. The
original transcription of these cemeteries was made by a committee from the
Idaho Genealogical Society in 1968. The transcription was made from the
Sexton's records and done on an old typewriter that had serious problems
and no attempt was made to proofread. Thus many mis-spellings occur. I
typed it as is and leave it to you to determine the correct spelling, even
though some are very obvious. I have no idea where the original copy is and
I worked from a copy of a copy of a copy -----. Mistakes may be assummed to
have occurred.
Lois Fretwell, who is now 95 years old, grew up in Midvale area and has
corresponded with me, by e-mail!, and has added additional information
about those interred in the cemeteries. Included on the Cemetery Index page
is an undated letter she sent to the Genealogical Librarian to correct the
original information. Plus some information she e-mailed to me.
If you visit the page please let me know if there are any technical
problems or broken links. Thanks, Pat
