Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I am happy to announce that Vikki Gray is joining IDGenWeb as the new coordinator for Lemhi County which has been vacant for some time. Welcome, Vikki. We all look forward to seeing what you do with Lemhi.

I'm happy to announce that Sharon McConnel will be taking over responsibility for Adams county on a temporary basis. At the same time I regret to announce that one of our long time coordinators, Tim "Pita" Harper, finds himself in a situation that will no longer allow him adequate time to maintain his IDGenWeb sites. We greatly appreciate all that Tim has contributed over the years and hope in the future he will find the time to be back with us. That means that three more counties are being added to our list of adoptable counties: Benewah, Latah and Nez Perce. I will have an announcement next week of a new coordinator that will be taking on responsibility for Lemhi county, so I have removed that one from the "available" list.
The full list is available at:

State Coordinator - IDGenWeb
I'm sorry to let you all know that one of our long term coordinators, Tim "Pita" Harper, will be leaving us. He finds his overall workload no longer allows for the time he has spent maintaining his counties in IDGenWeb and he is releasing them for adoption by other interested parties.
Tim has been a real asset to the project and we will miss him. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors and asssure him that if things change he will always be welcome back.
Tim's counties have been:
Benewah
Latah
Nez Perce
Shortly they will be moved from Tim's personal server account to our state server account and be added to the list of available counties. If you know a good candidate, be sure to let them know.

Greetings All:
Butte, Camas, Custer, and Gooding counties checking in for June. Not
much new. By the numbers, site visits continue to be extremely light.
Mitch checking in for Ada & Canyon. Minor additions in Canyon. Working on
high school annual in Ada.

It's that time again and hard to believe this is the 6th month of the year!
Let us all know you are alive and on the job. Please check in, listing the
counties you are acting
as coordinator for. I'd also love to have you let us know what you are
working on at the present time and to identify any obstacles that any of the
rest of us can be of help with.
As a reminder, we are still looking for coordinators for the following
counties, which are presently vacant.
Adams
Bonneville
Clearwater
Jefferson
Minidoka
I am temporarily working with the following counties myself, but would be
happy to entertain a new coordinator for either or both if someone is
interested.
Fremont, Madison
I have a tentative new coordinator for Lemhi County and there will probably
be an announcement that it is no longer vacant in the next few weeks.
If you know of someone who would make a good coordinator, refer them to our
"Volunteers" page at: http://www.idgenweb.org/idgenweb_main_volunteers.php
Your service to genealogical researchers with roots in Idaho is greatly
appreciated! Keep up the good work.
