Thomas Rock Erekson 1942 ~ 2010 In loving memory of our dear father, grandfather, brother,
uncle and friend. Thomas Rock Erekson passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his
home in Ovid, Idaho (his paradise). He was born on July 28, 1942 to Zelph Young Erekson
and Irene Toone Erekson. He spent the early days of his childhood in the Holladay area as
well as several years in Australia with his parents who were serving as mission presidents
there. Tom is a graduate of Olympus High School. He honorably served a church mission to
Hong Kong. He married Afton Greenwood in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 18, 1964 and spent
the early days of his marriage ranching in Duchesne, UT, which he loved. Later divorced,
he worked delivering milk for Highland dairy. He married Nedra Fuller on June 30, 1973.
They resided in Sandy and later divorced. Tom was the owner of Yearround Yard Care and
later retired from Cream of Weber. He spent his retired life happier than he's ever
been with his k!
ids and grandkids visiting, and riding the hills of Bear Lake on his four-wheeler with
the dogs in tow. He served the Lord in various positions and callings, most recently as
High Priest Group Leader in his ward. He had a great love for his new home in Idaho and
the wonderful friends who became his family and who reside there. Tom is survived by his
five children: Clinton Rock (Brenda) Erekson of Grand Junction, CO, Leslie Ann (Robert) of
Las Vegas, NV, Jason Ezra (Sandra) Erekson of Herriman, UT, Anna Elaine Erekson of North
Logan, UT and Thomas Delbert of Tooele, UT, his 14 grandchildren: Chelsi, Kayla, Krista,
Robert, Houston, Justin, Amber, Autumn, Ashlyn, Nathan, Mickelle, Nick, Sam and Audree,
and his four brothers: Norman T, Alma Y, Klenner D, and Alan B Erekson. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Liberty Ward, Hwy 36, Ovid, ID. Visitation
will be at 11:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Lanark City
Cemetery will !
