STOCKTON, Calif. Mrs. Susanna (Sue) Kunz, 87, beloved wife of the late Ira Kunz, entered
into rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in Stockton, California. A memorial service will
be held in Pocatello at a future, yet-to-be announced date.
A native of Paris, Idaho, Sue had lived in Pocatello for the past 52 years. Sue was the
last surviving child of 12 born to Charles Arthur and Louisa Jonely Wyler.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Darrell, in 1972. Survivors include her
daughter, Myrna Drennan of Stockton, Calif.; granddaughters, Debra Brown of Augusta, Ga.,
and Kris DeBord of Stockton, Calif.; and grandsons, Mike Rocha of Stockton, Calif., and
Richard Sparks of Houston, Texas. Additional survivors include five great-grandchildren
and three great-great-grandchildren.
During Sue's life she was a voracious reader, an avid card player and a phenomenal
cook. Before her health limited her physical activities, she enjoyed regular long walks
and frequent visits with her many dear friends. She will long be remembered as a bright,
engaging and loving friend, mother and grandmother.
Sue's remains will be buried next to Ira and Darrell in Mountainview Cemetery here in
Pocatello, in the shadow of the mountains she so loved.
