ROY -- Adelia Lindsay Olson, age 86, returned to her Father in Heaven on Friday, April 12,
2002 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 30, 1915, to Hyrum Lester
Lindsay and Vara Mouritsen in Bennington, Bear Lake County, Idaho. She was married May 6,
1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Adelia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 1st and 14th
Wards, and served as an in-service leader, Singles Representative, Visiting Teacher, and
Sunday School Teacher. She fulfilled a full time mission in Tallahassee, Florida. She sent
five children on full time missions. She has one grandson, Joey Makin, currently serving a
mission in Leipzig, Germany, and grandson Brandon Olson, who completed a full time mission
in Tempe, Arizona.
She graduated from Utah State University. Mother was a dedicated and loving teacher she
taught school for 27 years in Moreland Idaho, Snowflake Arizona, Bancroft Idaho, Afton
Wyoming, Laketown Utah, Vernal Utah, and Roy Utah.

Eppley, Franchot L. Olson, (Kim) and Diann Olson, Larry and (Relia) Talbot, Lorna Olson,
Fonda Olson, Leland and (Joan) Makin, Michael and (Tonia) Cronen, Lex Olson, (Layne) and
Julee Olson. Also survived by twenty-two beautiful granchildren and eighteen
great-grandchildren. Proceeding in death by father Hyrum Lester Lindsay, mother Vara
Mouritsen Lindsay, Brothers Edwin Lindsay and Theron Lindsay, Sisters Shirley Alleman,
Elizabeth Williams. Survived by Darrell Lindsay, May Call, and Immogene Rich.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roy First
Ward Chapel, 5850 South 2575 West. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
at Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, and on Monday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the
church. Interment will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at the Bennington, Idaho Cemetery.
