June Clark Turley, 84, of Provo, passed away in her daughter's home in St. George
after a 2 1/2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. June Clark was born June 1, 1917, and was
raised in the Bear Lake area of Idaho. She married Marion Turley, May 13, 1942, in the
Salt Lake LDS Temple. They resided in Brawley, California until retiring to Three
Fountains in Provo. She is the beloved Mother of seven. June served faithfully for many
years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many capacities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, and daughter, DeAnne Hill; also,
siblings Hazel Sonzini, Helen Gunnerson, Gordon Clark and Clifton Clark.
She is survived by sons: Douglas (Anneva) Turley, Salt Lake City; Steven (Sheila) Turley,
Salt Lake City; and Clifton Turley, Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters: Carolyn Jaquith, Provo;
Kristine (Brent) Gardner, St. George and Marilyn (Steve) Smartt, Mesa, Arizona. She is
also survived by her sister, Iris Larsen, Idaho Falls, Idaho and brother, Ellsworth Clark,
Salt Lake City. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2002, at 12 p.m. in the Edgemont North
Stake Center, 4300 North Canyon Road, Provo, Utah under the direction of the Walker
Sanderson Funeral Home of Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the Stake Center on Saturday
from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
