CHUBBUCK – Mary Jean Christensen Morrison, 75, of Chubbuck, passed away Saturday morning
Oct. 12, 2002, at a local care center following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Bloomington, Idaho, a daughter of LaVern Nels and Eudora
Thressa Christensen Nelson. She attended schools in Bloomington and graduated from high
school in Paris, Idaho.
On April 24, 1945, she married Wendle Christensen in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He
passed away Nov. 13, 1972. She married Leland Paul Morrison on July 1, 1973, in Inkom,
She lived in Bountiful, Utah, for a short time with Wendle’s employment there and then
moved to Pocatello where she lived until moving to Inkom in 1966. She moved back to
Pocatello in 1986.
She was active in the LDS church, serving in the Relief Society presidency, visiting
teacher, ward librarian and Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her
children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them participate in sports and other

Christensen, Anchorage, Alaska; Weston L. (Pam) Christensen, Inkom, Idaho, Chet N.
(Brooke) Christensen, Pocatello, Todd G. Morrison, Olympia, Wash., Scott L. Morrison,
Grand Junction, Colo., Sheldon P. (Vicky) Morrison, Atlantic Beach, Florida; two sisters,
Elma Krogue, Logan, Utah, Rose (Rex) Rovig, Blackfoot, Idaho; nine grandchildren and five
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a daughter, Thressa, and a
brother, LaVan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at 1
p.m. at the Chubbuck LDS Stake Center, 450 James, with Bishop Norman G. Reece, of the
Chubbuck Second Ward, officiating.
Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening
from 7-9 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
