1923 in Sharon, Idaho, a daughter of Rill Hart and Hazel King Long. She married Mirl Jay

settled in the Ogden area. She later worked for IRS at the Ogden Service Center.

and later in the Roy 5th and 3rd Wards, serving in various positions in all auxiliary
organizations starting when she was made the secretary of the Sharon Ward Sunday School at
the age of 12.
She had many talents and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, oil painting and doing ceramics;
sharing her creations with family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
were the love of her life and even later in life she was never too tired to play Checkers
or Old Maid.
