M.Elizabeth "Beth" Loertscher Mears Beeh "Together Again" Our beloved
mother and grandmother, Elizabeth, "Beth" Beeh slipped quietly back to her
Heavenly Father's presence on Sunday, July 25th. She was born on May 6, 1918, in
Montpelier, Idaho to Gottlieb and Elizabeth Zmutt Loertscher. After graduating from
Montpelier High School, she moved to Salt Lake City where she lived the rest of her life,
except for two years spent in the San Francisco area. She married James Obadiah Mears,
Salt Lake City. They were later divorced, leaving Beth to raise her three boys – James
Wesley, Edwin George, and Richard Kenneth Mears – by herself. In 1959, she married William
R. Beeh who preceded her in death in 1990. Over the years, she worked for several
companies, including the American Red Cross, ZCMI, and Northwest Pipeline. She also ran
her own employment business – Beeh Employment. Beth is survived by two sons – James
(Eileen) and Edwin (Sharon) and was p!
receded in death by her third son Richard (Sharon). She was a proud grandmother to nine
grandsons and 12 granddaughters and great-grandma to 48 great-grandchildren. Beth was a
life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in the
Springview Ward for many, many years. A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary
(3401 S. Highland Drive) from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28th and at the Springview Ward
chapel (3153 South 900 East) from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 29th. Funeral
services will be held at the Springview Ward Chapel at 11:00 a.m. following the viewing.
