OGDEN - Fern Perkins Peery, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at her home. She was
born August 16, 1921 in Montpelier, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph B. and Mary Ann Dayton
Fern married Kenneth Hyde, they later divorced. She married Bob Grabar, he preceded her in
death. She married Dr. Louis Peery, and they divorced.
She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed serving in the Young Womens and Relief
Fern volunteered for many years at McKay-Dee Hospital as a Pink Lady. She was an avid snow
skier and loved working in her garden.
Fern is survived by her children, K. Gary (Jan T.) Hyde, Layton; Jeff Perkins (Bonnie L.)
Hyde, Ogden; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Ethan) Vaughn, Ogden; Joey, Julie, Bryan,
Curtis, Dakota, Melissa, and River; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Solomon; and her
brother, Dean R. Perkins, Ogden.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Hyde, a daughter, Mary Jo Hyde, a sister,
Genice Roghaar, and a great-grandson, Noah Vaughn.
Fern was the matriarch and leader of the family and will be missed for her wisdom, style,
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13th, at 11 a.m. at Lindquists Ogden Mortuary,
3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call at the mortuary Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45
to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquists Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
