Dale George Pedersen passed away on Nov. 27, 2007 at the home of his daughter. He was born
on Dec. 23, 1915, in Dingle, Idaho to George Garfield Pedersen and Malinda Cook. At the
age of 16 his family moved to Salt Lake City after the death of his father. On August 20,
1941 he married his sweetheart of 66 years Dorothy Ashworth in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He worked for the telephone company for 39 and half years. He was an electrical engineer
and acted as President for two years for the Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed sports, was a
great softball pitcher; pitching his last game at age 65. He also enjoyed tennis and golf.
He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and held many positions throughout his life,
his favorite being Sports Stake Athletic Director. He is survived by his beautiful wife,
three children; Patricia Treadway (Lee), Tom (Diane) and Craig. Brother, Roger Pedersen.
He has enjoyed the association with his 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grand children with two
on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Delores White, Lois
Hiller, and Katherine Petersen. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007
at the Butler 10th Ward, 6634 South Greenfield Way (1700 East) at 11 a.m. Friends and
family are invited to call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East
7800 South (Bengal Blvd.) and one hour prior to services at the church. We would like to
give a special thanks to our friends at Harmony Hospice in Tooele for their tender loving
care and support of our family. They are truly angels without wings.
