FISH HAVEN, Idaho -- William Earl Loveland, 90, passed away at his home in Fish Haven on
Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.
He was born June 9, 1914, in Fairview, Wyo., to Sidney and Frances May Jensen Loveland,
the oldest of two children.
When he was 2 years old the family moved to Fish Haven where he attended school and was
active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Earl worked most of his life as
a carpenter and cement finisher. Earl married June Drucilla Wilkes on Nov. 23, 1930, and
the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with two
children, Garth and Gary.
Earl loved to fish, hunt, camp out, trips on the senior citizen's bus, telling jokes
and family get-togethers. He was always there and ready to go. He had a big heart and
loved people. His grandson Lamar lived with him for 36 years. Earl worked on the Fish
Haven Sewer Board for 18 years and 13 years of that he served as chairman.
Earl is survived by his son, Gary (Linda) Loveland of Logan, Utah; 12 grandchildren; 43
great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
wife, June; a brother, Delbert Loveland; and his son, Garth Loveland.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 28, in the St. Charles LDS Ward
Chapel, and friends may visit with family from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will be
in the Fish Haven Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of
