LANARK - Carmena Parker Earley, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital of an unexpected illness. Carmena was born on June 18, 1928, to Renald and Blanche Brown Parker in Lanark. She attended school in Lanark, Wardboro, and Paris, graduating from Fielding High School in 1946.
On April 14, 1947, she married Arnell Couch Earley in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with five children, Dennis Arnell (deceased) Kathryn (Phil) Watkins of Salt Lake City, Karen Rae (Alan) Webb of Paris, Myron (Colleen) Lanark, and Treena Roberts (fiancé Drew Wright) of Thatcher. She had 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Carmena served in many capacities in the LDS Church. She enjoyed quilting with the Liberty Ward Relief Society ladies. She also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. She loved working alongside Arnell on the family farm, baling hay, milking cows, and feeding the calves. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and by one brother, Dale (Jeannine) Parker of Paris. Also surviving is brother-in-law, Junior Beck of Paris; and sister-in-law, Gloria Holt, of Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; her son, Dennis; and her sister and best friend, Ozella Beck; and brother, Eudell.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Liberty, Idaho, LDS Church. Friends may call before the service from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
