On the 1900 census James and Sarah Lynch were both born in Ireland. Another
bit of evidence. They also immigrated in 1850. Mary Keefe, living next door,
was born in Pennsylvania about 1859.
Looking in the 1860 census in Pennsylvania, searching for james Lynch, b. in
Ireland, b. about 1816-1826 brought up 8 possible matches. Looking at each
one, I believe there is one match: Penn. Schuykill county, Reilly, pg.
350/743, line 8, #2603-2453
James Lynch, 34yr, b. Ireland
Serah Lynch, 30yr, b. Scotland
John Lynch, 9yr, b. Scotland
Ellen Lynch, 8yr, b. Scotland
James Lynch, 5yr, b.Penn
Bernar[d] Lynch, 4yr, b. Penn
Mary Lynch, 2yr, b. Penn
According to this census they would have immigrated about 1852-1855.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [IAWebster] Parents of Mary Lynch Keefe, Ft. Dodge
I would like to determine the names of parents of Mary Lynch. She
James Keefe in Oct. 1879 in Fort Doge. From census information, Mary Lynch
was born in Pennsylvania; her parents were both from Ireland.
In the 1900 US Census of Fort Dodge, there are James and Sarah Lynch
directly following James and Mary Lynch Keefe in the census. May be her
parents. in the Cemetery listings for Corpus Christi Cem. in Fort Dodge,
where James and Mary Keefe are buried, there is a James and Sarah Lynch
also listed in gravesite Lot 91, next to Lot 90 where James and Mary Keefe
are buried. And the ages would be about right. Lots of circumstantial
evidence. But I have not been able to locate James and Sarah Lynch in any
census except 1900 in Fort Dodge.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
