In the Wayne County Cemetery Book it says this:
The first burial in Sharon Cemetery was that of Gilbert Hawkins, a child. He was buried on
family land which later became Sharon Cemetery.
It is said that most of the graves in Ryan Cemetery were moved to Sharon Cemetery and
perhaps other cemeteries. There are only a very few burials remaining.
There are pictures of John W. & Rosa Gartin in Sharon; Sharon Church;Four Lane
Also Sharon Cemetery is located in section 12 of Washington Twp. It said great care had
been taken to copy all information exactly as it appears on the markers. Rows 14 thru 22
are so crooked that it is very difficult to determine which row some graves are in. In
this area one may have to check back and forth 2 or 3 rows to find a grave.
