EVA MARIE VANDRUFF
Eva Marie Vandruff was born near Carthage, Illinois, Sept. 15, 1865. She died at the home
of her niece, Mrs. Omer Rowe, near Promise City, Iowa, May 12, 1917.
She moved to Iowa with her parents when only ten years old, and settled near Harvard. She
lived in this community until the time of her death.
She was converted when only twelve years old, and united with the Methodist church at
Clark school house. She moved her membership later to Promise City, and during the years
has been faithful in her Christian life, loved and honored by all.
Her father, mother, two sisters, one brother, and one half-brother have preceded her to
the other world. There remains of the family but one brother, J. L. Vandruff, of Alva,
Okla., four half-brothers, Madrid, Henry, Jasper and Winfield Talbott with several nieces
The funeral was conducted from the Methodist church by her pastor, Rev. H. E. Copeland,
and interment was at the Harvard cemetery, May 15th.
