I have just read your posting I am also researching the Bracewells. Our direct ancestor was Joseph Bracewell who married Susy Hartley. They had several children Jenny there daughter is our ggg grandmother.

This is the other John Bracewell who married Mary Starkie his widow possibly went to America but he wasn't the son of Joseph and Susy.
