I have some updates on my gr grandfather ralph fisher. I found him in the
1910 census for union county. he was born in 1890 (give or take a few
months). his wife mary was born in 1885 (give or take a few months. Earl
Francis was their first child, born in 1910. The census says that ralph and
mary's parents were born in Iowa. So now I am looking for more
Fisher/Wright history in Iowa to find their parents. Ralph's parents were
probably born 1860-1870ish. marys the same. Let me know if you have any info
Also, I am still looking through the census on CD. What a job!!!! Does
anyone know what the last four of the lines of the census sheet say, the
info that the census taker is lookign for? I cant read them. If anyone is
looking for anything from the 1910 unioncnty, taylor cnty, van buren and
part of winnebago i can look while i am in here. tough reading!!! Thanks a
lot for all of the input i have received from you. it has been a great help.
I am looking for my Gr Grandfather. Here is some info on him that might
connect with someone out there.
He was probably born somewhere between 1880 and 1890. He married a woman
named Mary Charlotte Wright(I think her last name was Wright),
They had a daughter named Edna and a son named Earl Francis Fisher (Earl was
born in Creston, IA in 1910), if they had more children I dont know about
Ralph had at least one brother, dont know his name. The brother married a
woman named Alice. The brother's wife eventually moved to Colorado Springs,
CO, I dont know if the brother was with her. At some point they either got
divorced or he died because she remarried. I have more information on that
but I dont know if it would help.
I dont know how long Ralph was actually in Creston, IA, it might have been
for his life or short time, I just know that his son was born there.
The only other information I have is that Ralph was killed in New Orleans.
He was a gambler and supposedly shot and killed.
If you have any information that might help or any other resources that you
can suggest that I use I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot for your
time. You can email me at vegasclarke(a)lvcm.com.
