Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

These batch #'s are marriage records also!
Hugh Wallis's IGI batch #'s do not work with the LDS's IGI web page as well
as they once did. When I began using the batch #'s. you would click on
your state and county batch #, which would open a page and then you would
input the surname you were researching. LDS's IGI web page would open and
you would get only the results from the county and state you were interested
in. When you follow the same procedure now, you get the surname from
To make this work, you have to use both web pages simultaneously. In other
words, copy and paste your batch # to LDS's IGI web page. The results will
be only the state and county you are interested in. In order to get results,
you must change the "Region" to "North America". If you input the batch #
rather than copy and paste, don't forget the prefix "C" for church or "M"
for marriage in your batch #'s !
