In the 1895 census databasse search the details for my GGGrandmother,
Harriett R. BRYANT are,
083-8-10 Harriett R. BRYANT 61 F W New York, United Brethren, Grant
Can anyone tell me where the United Brethren church would have been there
then? Is that the Evangelical United Brethren? Also, did the EUB merge
with Methodist? Are there any church records that far back? Funeral Home
records that might give over some other information?
Newspapers that might tell of someone visiting or Harriet and family
Just trying to figure out more about Harriet/Harriett (Fisher) Bryant, prior
to1850 to be able to know for certain who her parents and siblings are.
Do believe that the Fisher's, Densmore's, Pierce and others may well relate
in some way, since Sylvanus and Harriett's son Henry Densmore Bryant b. MI
and Franklin Pierce Bryant b. ILL carry those as middle names. I don't know
what daughter Emma L middle initial stands for, it would be helpful to find
out somehow, do know that my GGrandmother Almatia's middle name was
Lauretta. I know that Bunker's relate to Sylvanus Bryant through his sister
Cordelia (Delia) Bryant's marriage to Samuel Bunker, and Sylvanus Bryant's
brother Obed W. Bryant who migrated from ME to ILL married a Lindsey/Lindsay
and when she died he married her sister and Ferdinand and Barbara
Lindsey/Lindsay and family has Frank P Bryant, son of Sylvanus and Harriett
(Fisher) Bryant with them in the 1870 census.
I have candidates for Harriet's parents and a possible sister but can't
figure out how to cement it. Harriett being born NY 1826 makes it real hard
to find things in NY. If I had a clue as to her actual place of birth in NY
there might be church records for baptism.
Thanks for reading.
