You can phone the Nevada library and they will check the obit files. They are
organized by name. There are not many 1914 obits in the files, though. See
the Story Co web site under "Addresses."
The most obvious next place to check is the microfilm of the Nevada
newspapers. (See under "Resources.") This microfilm can be obtained on
interlibrary loan from the State Historical Society. If you want to hire
somebody to do a lookup, there are a number of researchers around Des Moines
who would do the lookup. You might be able to hire the Historical Research
Library of the State Historical Society to do the lookup for you, but they
limit services provided to non-Iowa residences. See:

I have recently collected new info on an ELMORE
family of Nevada, Iowa I am researching. I am related thru Evaline E.
(Copeland) Elmore's Copeland side. Thru information I have found on the
internet I now know her death date and would sure love to have an obit.
Could someone on this list advise me if the Nevada City Library could look
for an obit on this woman, or who I could contact in Nevada in a genealogy
society, that could get me an obit? I would really appreciate
the help. I will be posting the ELMORE info seperately.
