Have you tried searching census records first? That's

THE QUESTION, How would I go about finding the list of children that died.
There may not be such a list, but if one was available where would I search?
According to a microfilm index August Zimmerman died in Poweshiek county
24 December 1936 and the following information regarding will was given
- 1936 Poweshiek County, Box # 5987 and 1159, Docket 17, Page 173.
Any idea what information might I expect to find in this information,
and what office in the county court house would I go to for a look at
I haven't posted in a few months. I'm still trying to find the obit for Michael FLEENER. He married Sophronia O Knox McGauslyn, they had 15 children. I have 9 names but not the others. My mother told me that some died due to a flu epidemic when they were children.
In 1880, they lived in Poweshiek CO., Iowa. Can't locate them before or after this date. I am told that Michael died in Adair CO. September 14, 1892.
I know Sophronia is buried in Stewart Cemetery near Union MIlls.
I have a listing of Michael sisters & brothers also parents, if anyone is interested.
