My ancestors Eugene H. ROBINSON (1835-1888), wife Caroline A. "Carrie"
McCORMICK (1838-1915) and children moved to LeMars and Westfield after 1880.
They are buried in LeMars, along with Carrie's mother Isabella (ARCHER)
Their children, last name ROBINSON, include:
Homer E. (b. March 1862), married Belle MARTIN 1892, children were Eugene
(1893), Clarence (1895), Leroy (1897), Carrie (1898) and George (1900?) --
all born in Iowa, possibly LeMars.
Theron Emery (b. June 1866), listed Westfield 1900 census unmarried
Edith Bell (b. Apr 1870), married Samuel M. SPARLING; residing Westfield
1900 and 1904. They moved to Dorris, Calif., by 1910. Daughter Evelyn born
Irene C., my ancestor (b. Dec. 1872), married Eugene S. BATES and moved to
South Dakota and eventually to Los Angeles, Calif.
Mary May (b. 1871?), married Alonzo D. LILLY; children Vernon, Clark, Angie
and Marjorie. Mary May (Robinson) Lilly died 1900 and he remarried.
Clara (b. Aug. 1878) was teaching in Westfield in 1900 and in the area of
LeMars in 1910. She may have married William J. STOKES.
Bessie (b. Jul 1881) was also a teacher in Westfield 1900. I think Bessie
and Clara also ended up in California.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone else researching any of these
families. We have old family letters and pictures, and other information
I'd be happy to share.
