My Sarah Louise Southwick was found on the 1870 Adams County IA 111 Union Twp
Census. She was married to Alvin B. Worden on December 23, 1871 in Cromwell,
UNION Co., he died in 1883 (I found a listing for Alvin Worden in MONTGOMERY
Co.). She then married George F. Cotrill, on October 31, 1883 in Shenadoah,
Iowa/Or Adams Co., IA. I cannot find anything on Alvin B. Worden
In the 1870 Union Twp., Adams Co., IA Census Index
Southwick, Myson H. IA ADAMS CO. UNION TWP 111 1870
Southwick, Norman IA ADAMS CO. UNION TWP 111 1870
Southwick, Sarah IA ADAMS CO. UNION TWP 111 1870
She lived in UNION Co., ADAMS Co. (and maybe in MONTGOMERY Co.) and died in
POCAHONTAS Co. on November 01, 1897
I cannot find where Sarah L. Cotrill was buried.
I found the following on George Cotrill, but don't know if it is the same
George Cotrill as I'm looking for.
Name: George Cotrill
Cemetery: Rose Hill
Town: Shenandoah, Grant
Is Grant a County in Iowa? I cannot find anything in the census for
Southwick, Worden or Cotrill, where I can positivedly prove they were
actually there after 1870.

HELP. I believe one of my ancestors died in Red Oak, Montgomery Co. IA in
1872. His name was GEORGE LEAGUE. I believe that his family lived in
Montgomery County from about 1870-1875. It seems that a couple of his
children were married there. Can someone direct me on what to do to prove
this? I was hoping to drive over from Omaha this summer and find his grave,
but don't know what cemetery or anything. I've looked on the internet and
haven't found anything about the LEAGUE family in Montgomery County yet.
Thanks, Herb Brown, III
