Does anyone know if the Zadock and Susanna Tharp Chidester home is still
standing? ... I believe it was in Section 23 of Mantua Township.
I have a picture of the 2 story home, and standing in front are Zadock
Chidester (1816-1897), his wife Susanna Tharp Chidester (1822-1903), her
mother Huldah Cox Tharp (1797-1893), and one of Zadock's sons and family
(I believe Franklin (1860-1923) and Sarah Bell Bresse Chidester
(1866-1915) and 3 of their children .. probably Ernest Chidester
(1882-1915), Emma (1885-?) and Lottie (1887-?).
I will be traveling to Monroe County in mid-September, I am taking the
picture and would like to locate the house, if at all possible.
