Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

The Lymon Curtis Patterson listed who died in Mills County Iowa could not have been born in 1815 as I have his military records that state he was in the
NY militia during the War of 1812.

We have some new additions, to our web site that I wanted to share with
More Death Records have been added for the years of 1897-1908. Abigail
Abeyta-Martin, has been a huge help with this project. It is a tedious
task. You can find this latest addition at,
Cotton-Granteer Cemetery has now been completely photographed. The photos
are on-line, at our IAGenWeb Gravestone Photo Project;
http://iowagravestones.org/. South Grove Cemetery photos are in the
process of being added, both by Bette Byers.
We now have photos posted, for all the Farm Creek-Henderson churches,
additional obituaries have been posted for several deaths in the late
I hope to someday have a photo for every church, school, and cemetery in
Mills County. Since I live in another state, I depend on others for these
treasures. If you have any vintage photos, that you would like to share,

keep the photo; I just need a scanned copy, and permission to post it.
I would also like to let you know that Iowa Gen Web was again voted as one
of the best websites by FamilyTree Magazine. This is for all the counties
in Iowa. It is because of all the great people, like you that share so
much, that make this happen.
