I have a photograph I purchased at an antique store in Indiana with quite a bit of family history on the back.
The photo is of Mary (Polly) Emmitt MillsRobb. Daughter of John Emmitt, born 1807 in Augusta Co., VA.
If anyone is interested, I paid $7.50 for it, but would especially be happy to get it to a family member. Thanks, Taunja Roberts, Amity, OR

Following the death of my grandfather and his only surviving child - a
dauther, it came to our attention that my grandfather, Clay Homer Bell fathered a
child outside of his marriage, causing him to abandon his family. At the time,
he was on the railroad on the "extra board", living in Pella, Iowa and
possibly having asssignments from Pella to Des Moines. The time frame would be
mid-1925-1928. We don't have any more information than this, but would like to
find this piece to our family puzzle. Any information would be helpful.
