I am planning a trip to Pella to do some research in the cemeteries there. I
know the names of the cemeteries, and their location. What I don't know is
where to get a map of the cemetery so that I am not spending the whole day
looking for my ancestors grave. The three cemeteries that I am interested in
are Graceland of Pella, Porter Grove, and Oakwood. Would anyone have a phone
number or an email of a contact person that I could get a hold of??
Thanks in advance.
Clara Brodrick was born in 1853, the daughter of James R. Brodrick. Before
1875 she married Zenus PARKER and they had a daughter. In 1875, Clara
married a Mr. Pierce. I assume Zenus must have died.
Does anyone have information about when Clara married Zenus, the birth of
their daughter, and whether Zenus Parker died by 1875.
Your help will be appreciated greatly.
In the 1850 census, Lake Prairie Twp. I find
Hiram BOWMAN age 54 born Tennessee
Lucinda MINER age 54 born Tennessee
Cantril BOWMAN age 27 born Tennesee along with what appear to be another possible 4 children of Hiram.
From neighboring families, it appears that the enumerator was listing wives under their maiden names. Can someone familiar with this census verify if that is what the enumerator was doing, and that Lucinda (MINER) would be the wife of Hiram BOWMAN.
