Looking for clues to a male O'CONNOR, probably b. bef 1832 and living in NY.
Our connection is his daughter, Elizabeth O'CONNOR, b. 8 Feb 1852, NY,
married 25 Feb 1873, Georgetown, IA to Joseph P. WALLACE, and d. 29 July
1896, Cedar Twp, Munroe Co, IA.
Elizabeth's father, our quest, was in business as a "druggist" of some kind
(chemist, pill purveyor, or ?) in Iowa, probably around Lucas, Munroe or
Marion Counties, say in the 1870-1900 era.
Any suggestions at all to help us past this brick wall would be most
Am searching for info on John Wiley Vaughn who was born in Hawkins Co.
TN in 1828 according to the info I have on him. Most of his 8 children
(by 2nd wife..Mary Elizabeth ) were born in Iowa--possibly Marion
Co...They are Laura V. Vaughn, Eva A., Mary E., John E., Florence M.
Maud D. (my grandmother married Joseph R. Burch) Elsie M., and Morgan
Leonard..Any info would be appreciated. Have found a lot of John
Vaughns, but none seem to fit. Maybe the info I have is incorrect.
Thank you, Bev in Oregon
