I am trying to find out if Dr. and one time mayor Will (William) ALLEN of
Pella was ever married. There are marriages listed for 3 William Allens, but
I don't know if any would be him. Also interested in his sister's family.
Laura ALLEN married James L. BISHOP in Feb. 1884. They had a son George
BISHOP who was raised in Pella who later lived in Los Angeles, CA. Anyone
have info. on any of these people? Thanks.
Do you have a list of their children? I have an Edward Antrim married to a
Jane Ethelda Boothe 31 December 1893. Jane was also known as Jennie. She
was my great-great aunt. She was born 21 August 1873 in Marion Co., Iowa,
and that is where they got married. I have one of the original wedding
invitations, Jane died in 1958 place unknown.
Im looking for information on a William Antrim born March 19, 1839 in
Sabina, Clinton, Ohio died March 01, 1915 in Columbia, Marion, Iowa, he
married a Rachel Heaton she died July 16, 1875 in Marion County,Iowa can
anyone add to this.?
I also would like to know where Round Grove Cemtery in Marion County is?
I am searching for information about my g-grandmother, Mary Watrous, who
lived her adult life and died in Montgomery County, Iowa. (1839-1885) I do
not know her siblings or parents names, nor where she was born.
I have noticed that there is an Albert B. Watrous on the Civil War Roster for
Marion County. He was in Company G, 15th Iowa Infantry, says nativity Ohio.
I am wondering if this could be my Mary Watrous's brother, since the time
frame is right and Mary named one of her sons Albert.
Does anyone have any information about Albert B. Watrous of 1862, or any
other Watrous's of that time?
I found information on the Iowa 33rd Infantry in two books in the Denver
"Iowa and the Rebellion" by Lurton Dunham Ingersoll, p 613-623.
"Roster and Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of the Rebellion", Vol. 5
I looked at the Iowa Civil War site and found that the 33rd Infantry
volunteers was missing. My great grandfather was in this and was a resident
of Marion Co., so I would guess it was a Marion Co. outfit.
Does anyone know where info can be found?
