I think the Posegate-Fisher marriage took place in Mahaska County about 1880.
If anyone has the book which might list that marriage, would you please tell
me what is listed.
Thank you very much for your help.
I am interested in finding out what local records might help me discover
about my great great grandparents. The three facts I have now are:
Thomas Boyd Henry married to Isabelle "Eliza" Breckenridge , Oct. 31,
1867, at Oskaloosa, Iowa.
They lived on a farm at Oskaloosa until the fall of 1869.
Where Eliza's family farm was located (1860 census shows Rodney
Breckenridge, wife Jane, and children John, Rachel, Eliza, Sarah living
on a farm in Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa
I am hoping to learn where the marriage took place, where the farms were
located, and the location and condition of White Oak Cemetery (where
other relatives are buried). I hope to visit the area soon.
Thanks in advance for any information or advice.
