I have no information on Dixon, but have some interest in Wymore. My wife's
ggf, Abner Taylor, married a Mary Wymore, and lived in White Oak Twp in
Mahaska. Both reportedly came from Indiana. Mary supposedly was born in
Franklin Co IN, and married Abner in Parke Co IN in 1829, and all their
children were born in IN before coming to Mahaska about 1848 or after.
Census records show several Wymore families in Mahaska, but I have yet to
find evidence to tie Mary to any of these. Among my notes, for what it's
worth, I have:
"There were numerous Wymore families enumerated in Mahaska County in the 1895
state census, especially in White Oak and Pleasant Grove Townships.
In White Oak:
Jasper Wymore, p. 8
Miranda Wymore, p. 14
Amos Wymore, p. 16
Reuben Wymore, p. 17
Wm. F. Wymore, p. 41
Robert Wymore, town of Rose Hill, p. 8
In Pleasant Grove:
William J. Wymore, p. 6
Geo. Wymore, p. 7
Albert Wymore, p. 15
James W. Wymore, p. 15
Abram Wymore, p. 15"
I have no idea, of course, whether any of these connect with your Abraham,
but the Abram Wymore listed above may be of interest. Unfortunately, I did
not take any detailed notes on these families.

I would appreciate any information at all on Ruth Ann, especially the names of her parents and siblings.
