In looking at the 1880 census for Marietta ROBERTS, I found her
married to William ROBERTS (yes she married a ROBERTS) in the town
of Cleveland, Lucas Co., IA. I can't find Cleveland on any map. Can
anyone tell me if it still exists or what happened to it if it
Adina Roe Roberts
Seeking information on East Cleveland, east of Lucas....at least on the 1895 map....
I am trying to piece a puzzle together: Looking for a John Joseph MORGAN , born in Wales in 1843
and his wife Elizabeth Lewis MORGAN, born 1852 in Merthyr Tydfil Wales. They are my great grandparents.
They were married 1867 in Brookfield, Ohio (Trumbull county)...and lived there and in Bevier, MO...
But I show Joseph died caMarch, 1906 and she died ca February 1903....both in Cleveland.
And I think may be buried in Lucas.
They had a large family (7 children) born in Ohio and MO....I have no knowledge of any born in Lucas CO.
Their oldest son John Lewis Morgan (born 1870 in Ohio) lived in Hiteman and there are pictures of him in
the book HISTORY OF HITEMAN, a mining town.
Is there more than one cemetery in Lucas county?....Is there a cemetery in Lucas and if so who might I
contact for more information?
Also is there a 1900 census for your area.
Any information greatly appreciated.....or suggestions too.
