I looked up on the Jones County Web site the name Landherr and came up with the 1895
Scotch Grove 3 census showing Gerd and Anna C.(deceased) and 4 children, Gesine,6,
Henry,5, Mary, 3, and Anna, age 0.. Listed under Wayne Zion Evangelica Lutheran Church in
the deaths is Anna Katharina Landherr who died 14 Oct 1894. Her husband, Gerhard Landherr
died 11 Aug 1898...So the children would have been ages 9, 8, 6, and Anna would have been
3 when her father passed away.. In 1900 she would have only been 5... If you could link
other relatives to her father and mother you may find her..
For now this is all I could research for you. But will research more later this week when
I can go to the courthouse in Jones County...unless someone else finds something for you.
The website www.iowajones.org
is where I found this info by typing in the name Anna
Landherr... also just Landherr...
I hope this was helpful, but I will look more when I have more time...
Have a good day

Subject: [IAJONES] Anna Landherr Information
I am researching the LANDHERR family of Wayne and Scotch Grove,Iowa.
I have looked at the Jones County on-line resources and have not been able to find the
marriage of Anna Landherr, born 1890
I believe that her mother, Anna Catharina LANDHERR, (born 1866 Germany, died 1890 Wayne)
wife of Gerhard LANDHERR,(born 1862 Germany, died 1898 in Wayne) died in childbirth when
her daughter Anna was born.
The last resource I have for Anna is the 1900 census Wayne, Jones County, Iowa census,
where she is listed as being 15 years old, and working as a hired girl for the Hoyo HAYEN
family. Her father, Gerhard, died in August 1898 in Wayne.
I cannot find her in the 1920 census, so am thinking that she probably married..and
probably in Jones County.
I have tried the Jones County Gen Web site, but the marriages listed there are too early
I have also searched Ancestry.com..Anyone got any ideas? Thank you for your help..
