Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
The temperature cools, the leaves change color and the bountiful harvest takes

Thanks to Janet Brandt, we have added The Diaries of George Franklin
"Frank" Howard to the Jones County site. Frank Howard, Janet's grandfather,
was a Jones county pioneer and Clay township resident. The first diary
begins in 1877 when he was twenty-two years of age. He kept a daily account
until the time of his death in 1908. Most of the diaries tell the day to day
happenings his early life in and around Clay Mills, Iowa.
