I am looking for information or descendents of a family who immigrated from Germany and spent at least a few years in or around Anamosa Jones County Iowa. Probably from abt 1865 until around 1880
They were John Youck born abt 1824 and his wifes maiden name was Franciska or Francis Mink. An old family letter says they met on the boat over from the old country and married at New York city when they arrived in 1865. John Youck is listed as buried in the Arapahoe Furnas County Nebraska cemetery death date and part of the family lived in Union township Furnas County Nebraska around 1900. I believe some family members must have remained in Jones County Iowa because Francisca may have died in Jones county Iowa and remains returned to Furnas County Nebraska by train in June of 1916..this according to information from a family bible .If so I think she would have still had family in Jones County Iowa. Also wonder if the obituary in Iowa would give more information than the one in the Nebraska paper that I have info from. It also says children were Elizabeth, Mary, John, Susie ( who married a Gibbs) Joe and Antone. All presumedly born in Jones County Iowa.
