Charles Tripp, 68
Charles R. Tripp, 68, of North Liberty died Wednesday at University
Hospitals of cancer.
The body has been donated to the University of Iowa. Cremation and a
memorial service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations will go to Iowa City Hospice, Inc.
Family will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at the
family home, 720 Jones Boulevard, North Liberty.
Mr. Tripp was born April 16, 1923, in Spencer. He married Harriett Davis on
Oct. 30, 1950, He was a graduate of the UI College of Pharmacy in 1949 and
worked as a pharmacist in Perry
from 1949 to 1965. He moved to Fairfield and was a pharmacist at Martin Drug
until 1979. The couple moved to North Liberty in December 1989.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Todd Tripp of Mount Vernon; one
daughter, Toni Tripp-Reimer of Iowa City; three brothers, Wallace of
Owatonna Minn., Stanley of Amherst Mass.,
and Harold of Grand Meadows, Minn.; one sister Florence Shriver of Fairfield
and four grandchildren.
