I am working on the HAM family that appears off and on in Union and
Scott townships in Johnson county. Emerson Milton HAM (1855-1916) and
his wife Evaline OATHAUT (born 1856) along with their daughter Edith
were in Scott township on the 1910 census. A son, Walter Garfield
HAM (1880-1963) and his wife Maud M. WENMAN (1880-1942) and their
children Faye (also spelled as Fae) (1909-2001) who married Frederick
William LAWSON; Marie F. HAM (born 1914) and Neva G. (born 1918)
appear in other census. In addition, in Iowa City, there was a
William A. HARPER who married Ruby J. HAM (born 1890), a sister of
Walter's. Their children were Alta R. (born 1910), Paul E. (born
1911) and Austin W. (born 1920). Another sister, Anna Pearl HAM (born
1884) married J. W. HILL and they were also in Johnson county.
I would appreciate all the help I can get!
