I am looking for information about Mary Adalede CURRENT b 1854 in Nashville
IA, d 28 Jul 1936 Maquoketa IA, married to John Kennett ALLARD (my great
Mary's parents were Joseph CURRENT and Margaret HUNTER.
The Maquoketa Sentinel 28 Jul 1936 has Mary's obituary. One error in the obit
says her husband, John Allard, died in 1918, but he had died in 1902 in
Eureak California, and after that she had moved back to Maquoketa.
She had a daughter, Margaret Eliza ALLARD. Records vary about date of her
birth (no birth cert found), but it would have been about 1894 in Eureka,
California. Margaret died in 1919,and her obit mentions she was in the high
school graduating class in Marquoketa in 1916, but I question that date. She
would have been about 22 at that time. Perhaps she had graduated in 1910.
Margaret married Willis Sheets, and they were living in Ames at time of her
death, 3 May 1919.
Anyone, by chance know this family, possibly even know Margaret? Or can tell
me when Margaret graduated from high school? I would appreciate any
information about the family.
