The 1900 census shows Henry (no middle name) living with his parents, Gottfriet and Wilhelmina nee GELLINE, in Cass, Harrison County, Iowa. Between 1902 and 1910 the family moved to Oleta, Ellis County, Oklahoma. Henry is not in the 1910 census even though his older sister and brothers are listed. He would be around 18.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to start on solving the following problem?
Did Henry die in Iowa or on the road to Oklahoma? Is this the reason the family moved? Bad memories of Cass due to a child's death?
Did Henry run off and join the circus or military?
I can find no obituary. I find online newspaper searching is impossible. I can not find no Henry in any grave or cemetery index. I have checked Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma. He is not in the WWI or WWII draftee lists.
