I'm looking for an obituary and/or any other genealogical data for Christena
(Ault) (Richardson) Clover in Hardin County, Iowa.
Christena Ault was born July 21, 1816, in Hardy County, (West) Virginia to Henry
AULT and Elizabeth SELLERS. Christena's parents removed to Xenia, Greene
County, Ohio, by 1820, and her father, Henry Ault, died soon after. Christena
married in Greene County, Ohio, to Daniel Richardson on August 5, 1829.
The family remained in Ohio until about 1838 or 1839 when they removed to
(likely) Delaware County, Indiana. By 1850, Christena and Daniel were in
Randolph County, Indiana. They removed to Etna Township, Hardin County, Iowa,
in about 1853 and remained there until 1869 when they removed to Cherokee
County, Iowa. Several of their children moved to Dell Rapids, Minnehaha County,
(South) Dakota Territory, in the early 1870s, and Christena and Daniel followed
them in about 1873. Christena remained there until the death of Daniel in about
1882. Upon Daniel's death, Christena returned to Hardin County, Iowa, and lived
for a time with her daughter, Caroline (Richardson) Clover and her husband,
William Francis Clover. Christena remained widowed until her 2nd marriage on
October 18, 1894, to Solomon Clover.
Christena (Ault) (Richardson) Clover died on February 23, 1897, in Hardin
County, Iowa, and was buried in Hazel Green Cemetery. Christena was one of 3
daughters born to Henry AULT and Elizabeth SELLERS but is the only one
identified. I'm looking for an obituary, death notice, etc. or any other
genealogical data that might uncover the identities of Christena's
sisters/siblings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time,
