Claim For Mother's Pension #7094
Anna Stoughton, mother of Benjamin Franklin Stoughton, resident of Des Moines,
Polk, IA. Wounded April 6, 1862 at Shiloh. Died in hospital at Louisville KY
April 26th, 1862 from wounds received in battle at Pittsburgh. Soldier left
neither widow or child. Anna's husband died July 6, 1861 and she has no
property or means of support. Soldier worked by days work in different places
in county and gave his wages to his mother for her support in Clark Co IA. She
consumed all her property in first two years after her husband's death in
Frankfort, Clinton Co., IN. Death of Anna Stoughton August 18, 1880.

unable to be present. Statement proof of marriage of Anna Randall (note: widow)
to Benjamin Franklin Stoughton, June 1832 in Chazy, Clinton Co. NY.
