Assignment
Herpalice Isherwood to
Thomas G. Isherwood
Know all men by these presents that I, Herpalice Isherwood, formerly Herpalice
Lowry of the County of Westmoreland in the State of Pennsylvania for and in
consideration of the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars, the reciept of
which
is hereby acknowledged, do hereby sell transfer and assign unto Thomas G.
Isherwood all right, title, interest and claim I have in and to the estate of
Stephen
Lowry, my grandfather, late of said County of Westmoreland dec'd and also all
demands of every name and kind I have of persons of said state of Pennsylvania
including among others an interest in a certain note made by Ezra Wright for
two hundred dollars payable to myself and Hortensius Lowry and I do hereby
assign
release and set over the said Thomas all claims both on the real and personal
estate
due me of said Stephen by virtue of his last will and testament. In testimony
of all
and singular the foregoing I do hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of
November AD 1850.

I, A.J. McKean a Justice of the Peace in and for said County do hereby certify
that
on this 20th day of November AD 1850, personally came before me one Herpalice
Isherwood to me personally known to be the identical person whose name appears
subscribed to the foregoing Instrument of writing as party thereto and that the
said
Herpalice on an examination by me made sepaerate and apart from her said husband
after the contents of the foregoing Instrument of writing had been made known
to her,
acknowledged that she executed the same voluntarily and without fear or undue
influence of her said husband. Given under my hand this the day and year above
written.

I, James M. Berry, Clerk of the District Court in and for the County of Linn
aforesaid
do hereby certify that Andrew J. McKean, the person before whom the foregoing
acknowledgement was taken was at the time of taking, the same and acting Justice
of the Peace in and for said County, and that his above signature is genuine and
that full faith and credit are and of right ought to be given to his oficial
acts as such
Justice. In witness of which I do hereunto set my hand and affix the Seal of
the said
Court at my office in Marion in said County this twenty second day of November
AD 1850.
