Arthur Bartz, son of Mr. & Mrs. Otto Bartz, was married Saturday evening to
Miss Annie Broers of south of Mason City, Iowa. The ceremony was performed at
St. James Lutheran church of Mason City, by the pastor, the Rev. Mahl, and was
followed by a reception at the church basement.
The bride was becomingly attired in blue and was attended by her sister,
Miss Irene Broers, who wore blue also. Harvey Bartz, brother of the
bridegroom, acted as best man.
Mr. & Mrs. Bartz will go to housekeeping on a farm 4 miles west of St.
Ansgar, Iowa.
Those attending the wedding from St. Ansgar, IA were Mr & Mrs. Otto Bartz
and family and Mrs. Annie Beyer and family.

St. Ansgar Eclipse, St. Ansgar, Iowa June 25, 1930
Miss Ruth Priem of St. Ansgar, Iowa and Mr. Lester Hasse of Grafton were
married at 8 o'clock Friday evening, June 20th, 1930. The ceremony was
performed by the Rev. Brammer at Immanuel's Lutheran parsonage in St. Ansgar,
IA.
The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of pale green dotted chiffon and
wore a corsage of yellow rosebuds.
The couple was attended by Miss Marie Meggitt and Lawrence Priem, a brother
of the bride.
After the ceremony, the bridal party was served a 3 course dinner at the
home of Mr. & Mrs. James Jensen. Wayne Jensen, waiter, was dressed in the
bride's colors. The dinner room was prettily decorated in yellow and green.
Miss Priem is a graduate of the St. Ansgar high school and a graduate of
the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing at Hampton, IA and is a state
registered nurse.
Mr. Hasse is a graduate of the Osage high school and attended Cornell
College. He is now employed by the railway mail service.
Mr. & Mrs. Hasse will make their home at Des Moines, IA.

St. Ansgar Eclipse, St. Ansgar, Iowa August 20, 1932
Evelyn Kogle, daughter of Mrs. Minnie Kogle, and Luverne Moeller, son of
Mr. & Mrs. H. H. Moeller, surprised their friends by going up to Albert Lea,
Minnesota last Saturday and having the knot tied. The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. John Hall, pastor of the Methodist church.
The newlyweds returned to St. Ansgar and have set up housekeeping in the
Etta Christensen house (formerly the Enderle place).
Both of these young people are well known here, having lived here most of
their lives. Since his school days Mr. Moeller has been associated with his
father in the truck growing business.

Paul A. Chandler, 63, of 4220 New York Ave. died Friday at Iowa Methodist
Hospital of cancer. Services will be at 1 P.M. at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand
Avenue. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetary. Mr. Chandler was born in
Burlington, and had lived in Des Moines for 39 years.
He had been on the national executive board of the Isaak Walton League here. Mr.
Chandler had retired last year as vice-president of Chandler-Metelman, Inc. He
attended Coe College and was a member of Capitol Lodge, Temple Commandery, Za Ga
Zig Shrine, and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; four daughters, Barbara and Sue both of Des
Moines, Mrs. Carol Wolam of Huntington, N.Y., and Mrs.
Judith Warns of Mineral Wells, TX; a sister, Mrs. Peter Topic of Cedar Rapids,
and five granddaughters.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Izaak Walton League building fund.

12/20/1920 at Latimer. They farmed in Franklin County and retired to Hampton
in 1968. Mr. Butenhoff died in 1979.
Suvivors include 1 son, Orval, of Clear Lake, 1 daughter, Mrs. Clarence
(Helen) Fielding, Hampton, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & 1 great
great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2
sisters, 3 brothers and a half-sister.
Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.

The Hampton Chronicle, 3/8/1979
Fred passed away at the Franklin Nursing Home. He was born 3/9/1897 in
Franklin County to Mr. & Mrs. Albert R. Butenhoff. He married Luella Schloemer
12/16/1920 in Latimer. They farmed until retiring in 1967 and moved to Hampton.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Fielding,
Hampton, one son, Orval of Thornton, four brothers, William, Theodore, Leonard
and Clarence of Barnesville, MN, one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Sether of Rothsay,
MN, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents, 1 sister and 4 brothers.
Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
