Have you ever wondered what Iowa might have looked like had the people of
not twice rejected the boundary proposal of the Constitutional Convention of
1844? Thanks to MaryAlice Schwanke's contribution to the History Project you
now see several of the maps and read some of the discussions that took place
during the development of the Iowa boundaries by the Congress 1844-1846.
Very interesting subject.
