Who ever is doing Otter Creek can cross-check the unreadables with my
prior extractions in the Kiron Kountry Library for Otter Creek twp and
Kiron. They are done the same as the one for Stockholm. The one for
Kiron is also printed in the 1999 Kiron Centennial book (although they
did not print the "?" for my unreadables). I did not extract Schleswig.
Here's some thoughts. Extraction is a challenge. It takes time. Since
the towns are listed on separate subschedules pages, someone may be
interested in taking on a 'smaller task' by doing a town. If I remember
right, Denison is listed in three wards. Another way to 'divide and
I am not familiar with Jackson township, but if no one steps forward to
take it, make the copies and send to me. On the prior census, Charles
J. Johnson did the recording. If he did the 1900 one, at least I am
familiar with his handwriting. 10 cents is pretty 'cheap' for a
microfilm copy compared to the 30 cents I have to pay here in California
so put a note in the package for your costs.

As most of you know we are beginning to
transcribe the 1900 census for Crawford co.
I have to date about 50 dollars invested in the
microfilm and some of the printing costs.
We have 9 of the twps in progress of being transcribed.
This makes 11 left.
Now the problem.
I do not feel that I should use anymore of my out of
pocket funds to complete.
We do have folks that have volunteered to transcribe.
Would any one be willing to donate at 10 cents per
page printing cost? the cost of printing out a twp
of their choice. You will then have your name on
that twp as a donator. Cost per twp would be from
4 dollars to 17 dollars for a twp as large as Denison.
