One of the last few times I visited my local FHC, I noted on my surname
Soundex list, the film numbers for all of my target counties and years, making
special marks for the ones that they had available "in house". I believe they
did have the 1870 Clayton county film available. I'll be sure to keep your
surnames in mind when I do get back for more research (they are closed for
extended holiday now). Do you have any idea in what Twp. your kin may have
Also.... I have Minnesota kin (probably Wright or Hennepin county--unrelated
to my Clayton Kin) who married into the BURGER family. Is there a remote
possibility that your German BUKER might have a spelling variation that
