Marion Co. W.Va.
Maj. James Chew was in Gen. George Washington 's Army during Rev. War. Also
Chew's tied into many of the families down there, that tied into PRICKETT,
SPRINGER, MORGAN , JOLLIFF, lines. They are in the book
NOW & LONG AGO a HISTORY OF MARION CO, W.VA. by Glenn Lough
It has some indexing.but very little. 698 pages
Book is a must for those hunting ancestors in Va., W.Va., Pa. during 1722
thru Civil War.
I was alsways told you would open a book one day and find an ancestor. I
started in 1969 and it happened 1983. I grabbed the wrong book but glancing
down that page, there was my ancestors, Lydia PRICKETT to Lazaruss
ROSS,TAYLOR PRICKETT,SPRINGER. Her parents, grandparents, all their
children, spouses and their children.
