I'am researching the surnames BENNOR, LOCKWOOD and SCOLES/SCHOLES. My
Grandmother was Carrie Mae SCOLES who married James Edward BENNOR. Her father
was George Thomas SCOLES and he married Katherine LOCKWOOD and his father was
Eleazar SCOLES and I believe he married Mary SCHOLES.
Any info would greatly be appreciated and I would love to meet new family

Greetings Chickasaw County Listers,
Just a quick note to let you List Members know that I've updated the
Chickasaw County GenWeb Site again. (I've had good intentions of sending
you notices like this when I update the Web Site, but haven't been too
consistent I'm afraid, and will try harder.)
All new requests for additions to the Surname Matrix have been added.
And there is a new page in the Research in Chickasaw County Section. The
subject is about the Medical Profession and contains the Register of
Physicians, Dentists and Midwives in Chickasaw County, as recorded at the
court house, for the years 1880 - 1916.

FAMILY SEARCH PEDIGREE INDEX ADDED
A press release from the Church announced this week the inclusion of the
Internet Index for the Pedigree Resource File (PRF) on the Church's
genealogy webpage (http://www.familysearch.org). According to the
release, "The Pedigree Resource File is a lineage-linked database
containing genealogical data communication (GEDCOM) files submitted to
Family History Department by people who want to preserve their records
share them with others. Over 40 percent of the records submitted are from
users outside the U.S., Canada, and the British Isles." The index on the
website also gives information on purchasing the disks that contain the
data, available for only $5 each.
For any of you who are not aware of this unique research opportunity, here
is some information. I've used this once myself and was very glad I did. I
received some great clues that helped me to keep going on the person I was
working on. If you should have a physician in your database that you are
trying to search for, this is a great service. I think the turn-around time
was approximately three weeks, if I remember right. -Jannette
